Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Uncover AI (“Uncover AI”, “we”, “us”) and govern your use of join.uncoverai.co, Uncover AI News (our free newsletter) and The Operator Brief (our paid newsletter), together the “Services”.
By subscribing, purchasing or otherwise using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company to these Terms.
2. Uncover AI News (free newsletter)
Uncover AI News is free. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We may change the content, frequency or format of the newsletter, or discontinue it, at our discretion.
3. The Operator Brief (paid subscription)
The Operator Brief is a paid newsletter delivered by email, currently once a week on Mondays, plus access to the archive of past issues. We offer the following plans; current prices are shown at checkout:
- Monthly, billed every month.
- 6-month, billed every six months.
- Annual, billed every twelve months.
- Lifetime, a single one-time payment for access for as long as we publish The Operator Brief.
Automatic renewal. Monthly, 6-month and annual plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. By purchasing a recurring plan you authorise us (through our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your payment method at each renewal.
Cancellation. You can cancel a recurring plan at any time through the Stripe customer portal linked in your welcome and billing emails, or by emailing operator@uncoverai.co. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then and are not charged again.
Refunds. All payments are final and non-refundable, including partial periods after cancellation and lifetime purchases, except where a refund is required by applicable law or we decide, at our sole discretion, to issue one. If an issue with your subscription isn’t landing for you, please email us; we want to know.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Changes to a recurring plan take effect at your next renewal, and we’ll email you at least 30 days in advance so you can cancel if you wish. Lifetime purchases are not affected by price changes.
Taxes. Prices may exclude sales tax, VAT or similar taxes, which are calculated and shown at checkout where applicable.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and are subject to Stripe’s terms. We don’t store your full card details.
4. Your account and email
Your subscription is tied to the email address you used at checkout. Keep it accurate, since that’s where we deliver the Brief and billing notices. You’re responsible for keeping access to that mailbox secure. If you need to change the address, email us.
5. Licence and acceptable use
All content in the Services, including newsletter issues, the archive, text, graphics and design, is owned by Uncover AI or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read and use the content for your own internal, non-commercial purposes.
You agree not to:
- forward, republish, resell or otherwise redistribute paid issues or archive access to people who haven’t purchased a subscription;
- share your archive access link or use one subscription for a team (contact us for group pricing);
- scrape, copy or systematically download content from the Services;
- use the content to train machine learning models or build a competing product;
- interfere with the Services, attempt to bypass payment or access controls, or use the Services for anything unlawful.
Short quotations with attribution and a link are welcome.
6. No professional advice
The Operator Brief and Uncover AI News are for general information and education only. Nothing we publish is financial, investment, legal, tax or other professional advice, and it isn’t a recommendation to buy, sell or use any product, service, security or technology. Decisions you make based on our content are your own responsibility. Consider consulting a qualified professional before acting on anything we write.
7. Third-party content and partners
We link to third-party websites, tools and newsletters, and may recommend partner newsletters you can join. We don’t control those third parties and aren’t responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR THAT ANY CONTENT IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNCOVER AI AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR $100 IF YOU HAVEN’T PAID US ANYTHING. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, including by redistributing paid content. In that case no refund is due. We may also discontinue The Operator Brief; if we do, we’ll give active subscribers at least 30 days’ notice and refund the unused portion of any prepaid recurring plan on a pro-rata basis.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with an updated effective date and, for material changes, notify subscribers by email. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at operator@uncoverai.co and try to resolve the matter informally for at least 30 days.
13. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Uncover AI about the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
